Christopher’s Story

Although Chris is no longer with us, his memory will live on.

This is too often the story of Pancreatic Cancer victims. With virtually no symptoms, by the time this disease is discovered it is too late as the cancer has migrated to stage 4. Once diagnosed; Chris fought with every fiber of his being only to succumb to this deadly disease after an eight-month battle.

As a man of faith Chris felt compelled to give back. He was athletic and loved cycling. His goal was to organize a charity bike ride along Kane and McHenry County trails (where he enjoyed many a spring, summer and fall mornings on his road bike) and donate all proceeds to Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection.

Although Chris is no longer with us, his memory will live on as we are announcing “Christopher’s Ride” for Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection Research. The event consists of a 5K walk or 20-mile bicycle ride along the beautiful Kane and McHenry County bike trails.

All Proceeds will Benefit the LUSTGARTEN FOUNDATION dedicated to research for testing and early detection of pancreatic cancer.
